Liverpool FC Women's star Christie Murray surprised young fans at an LFC Foundation girls' football camp in Wirral recently.

The Scotland international met with youngsters at Woodchurch High School Sports Complex to participate in a Q&A session, offer advice and inspire those looking to pursue a career in football。

Murray also took the role of coach – getting involved in competitive games, drills and activities with over 80 local girls in attendance.

Across the three-day camp this half-term, participants had the opportunity to learn new techniques, improve their skills and make friends while having fun in a safe and supportive environment.

"It was great to come down and get involved in LFC Foundation’s girls' football camp today,” Murray said。

"The girls have fantastic attitudes and it was great to see so many players of different abilities loving and playing the game!”

The half-term camp is one of numerous opportunities that LFC Foundation offers to young girls who have a desire to participate in competitive sport and build their self-esteem.

Leah McAteer Thompson, Kicks girls co-ordinator, said: "It was great to have Christie down to the session – she is a fantastic role model for youngsters wanting to play the game.

"We're thrilled with the success of our female only three-day football camp, which saw over 80 young girls attend every day.

"There was even a spontaneous indoor Yoga session for the girls when the rain got a bit too heavy – a unique experience for the girls and positive ending to a fantastic week!"

LFC Foundation also offers weekly Premier League Kicks girls' football sessions across Anfield and Wirral, providing young girls with the opportunity to enhance their sporting talents and develop a passion for football.
